Common questions

Assumptions that change the answer

Can I add this to an eBay sale?

No. The eBay schedules already include payment processing. Use this page for a direct PayPal transaction.

Why must I choose a transaction type?

PayPal publishes different percentage and fixed fees for Checkout, card payments, Goods and Services, QR and other products.

Are international fees included?

Choose an international profile to include the published 1.5 percentage-point addition. Enter conversion separately because its exchange-rate base is transaction-specific.

What happens when I refund?

PayPal says the original fee is not returned. Use the risk panel and enter the retained processing amount under non-refundable fees for that refund scenario.
