Common questions
Assumptions that change the answer
Why do I enter the listing fee in GBP?
Etsy publishes the fixed listing fee in USD and converts it at the market rate when charged. Entering the Payment account amount avoids inventing an exchange rate.
Why is this calculator marked limited precision?
The converted listing fee and Offsite Ads USD cap depend on Etsy exchange rates. Offsite Ads is excluded here until that order-specific conversion is supplied.
Can I recover the VAT on seller fees?
That depends on your tax position. This version treats fee VAT as a cost and does not infer recoverability.
